Tric-Trac Tourno evening

Thursday, July 17th,

from 7.00pm at the BCSC.

The details:
Tric-Trac Tournos, a concept developed by Michael Main in London, provide a quick-fire, fun way of staging a small tournament.
Players, typically a dozen or so, will play every other player in the group in a one-game match.
Scoring is:
For losing: Half a point.
For winning a backgammon: 3 points;
For winning a gammon: 2 points;
For winning a single game: 1 point.
This scoring system encourages players to play for gammons rather than single games.
When everybody has finished playing, the points are totted up, and the winner takes the money.
In the event of a tie for first place, the money will be shared.
If enough players are available, there will be more than one pool, possibly playing for different stakes. Otherwise, there might be a single pool, with differing levels of stake money per entrant, including zero.
Players of all standards are welcome for this one.

If you have a board, please bring it!

Remember ......

THURSDAY is the regular BACKGAMMON NIGHT
