Ian Tarr is the Director of Bristol Backgammon, and has been playing the game for over thirty years.
He was a founder member of the Bristol Premier League in 2000, and has spent a lot of time in the top flight of that competition.
He has won fourteen Bristol Grand Prix events, and has reached nineteen other finals (as at August 2018).
His best efforts away from Bristol were as runner-up of the 2006 Cotswold Fireside Tournament, and as runner-up of the 2007 BIBA British Open, both amongst very strong fields.
